Welcome to Indiana University School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Student Interest Group!

EMSIG is composed of medical students who are interested in the exciting field of Emergency Medicine. Through several lunch talks, skills sessions, and variable other opportunities, we introduce all who are interested into what a career in the ED means. Lectures are given by well known emergency physicians from the Indianapolis area and cover aspects from pharmaceuticals to the Indianapolis 500. EMSIG also holds the Scrub sale at the beginning of the year and hosts a skills session during the winter break where students get to practice procedures hands on with Emergency Residents. We also hope to offer resources to all fourth year students searching for residencies and provide advice for those interested in a career in this exciting and rapidly growing field.
