EM Faculty Awards!!!

Tim Ellender "Outstanding Teaching Faculty of the Year Award" by the IUSM Transitional Residency.  Tim spends ½ time working as critical Care Medicine faculty at Methodist, and ½ time in the Methodist EMTC.

Jen Walthall received the 2009 recipient of the Morris Green Pediatric Faculty Teaching Award by the IU Pediatric Residency Program.  The award is given annually to the staff physician selected by the graduating class as the most outstanding pediatric resident teacher.  She was selected out of the over 250 pediatric faculty members for this prestigious award named after our past Chairman, Morris Green who was a master clinician and teacher.  Jen serves ½ time as a Peds hospitalist, and ½ time in the Methodist EMTC. 

Butch Humbert received the Clinical Science Faculty Teaching Award according the event program  and “Outstanding Teacher in the Emergency Medicine Clerkship” from the medical student Class of 2009.  Butch serves as the Statewide Competency Director for Basic Clinical Skills.

Andrew Beckman and Lee Wilbur both received The Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award in recognition of their efforts with medical students. 

Andrew Beckman and Greg Snead were recognized by the EM residents as “Faculty Teacher of the Year”.  Andy works at our Wishard site, and Greg at the Methodist site.
